When you’re shopping for false lashes you’ll find that there are quite a few options, but what it really comes down to is whether or not you want synthetic or mink lashes for your new lash company. Even magnetic lashes will often give you the option between the two products, so we’re going to tell you about what those differences are and what they might mean for your brand in the content below.

Mink lashes

Mink lashes are exactly what they sound like, they’re made from mink fur and have quite a few benefits as well as their own set of setbacks that you should consider for your brand. First and foremost, mink lashes often look more natural than any synthetic or silk alternative because they’re actually made from animal fur. If you want lash products that aren’t as shiny and have a natural look to them, mink lashes are a good option.

Mink lashes are, however, more expensive than synthetic or silk alternatives because they come from animals. If you’re looking to create a higher end lash product we recommend opting for mink lashes because they have a much more natural look and are often preferred among consumers that are looking for a natural looking lash that lasts for more than a couple of uses. These ones can be sold at a higher retail price, and you have a lot of room to decide on the shape and style of the lash.

Synthetic lashes

The biggest reason that a brand might want to sell synthetic lashes over silk lashes is because they’re more affordable and are not made from animal byproducts. When lashes are more affordable, brands can sell to a different type of consumer than they would if they were targeting a consumer looking for a higher end product (like with mink lashes). Silk lashes often have a shinier look to them and can be made to fit any size, shape, or style that you might prefer. They can also be offered in a wide variety of colors and textures as well, and sometimes include things like glitter in costume lashes.

These lashes are meant to only be used a couple of times before they’re thrown away, while mink lashes can often be used a few more times. This means that consumers will likely buy the product more often than they would mink lashes, so profits often even out. Synthetic lashes are made from a variety of materials that range from plastic to silk. Because they’re not made from animal products, they’re preferred among vegan consumers or consumers that don’t want to consume products that use animal fur.
